If I may bring us back to Jets related items... TSN is reporting that Zherdev will be returning to the KHL. So he won't be a member of the Winnipeg Jets: www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=373126REPORT: ZHERDEV BACK IN KHL AFTER ONE SEASON WITH FLYERS Nikolai Zherdev's return to the National Hockey League was a short one, as Russian sports website Sport Express reports that the winger has signed a contract with Atlant Mytishchi of the KHL. Zherdev, 26, played with Atlant during the 2009-10 season after the New York Rangers walked away from his arbitration award. The Philadelphia Flyers signed him to a one-year contract last summer. Zherdev had 16 goals and 22 points in 56 games last season and was placed on waivers during the campaign. He played six seasons in the NHL, four with the Columbus Blue Jackets, one with the Flyers and one with the Rangers. Originally taken fourth overall by Columbus in the 2003 draft, Zherdev has 115 goals and 146 assists in 421 career NHL games.

Twenty-nine other teams passed on him as well.
I'd rather give an opportunity to another player who shows some consistancy.

He would of made our hockey club stronger if we would of signed him.
In today's modern global economy he has chosen to go elsewhere.
