Concourses get extremely packed when the building is at capacity, and the suites aren't anything special (though better than they used to be). Probably as good as or better for a temporary home than say Quebec's arena, but not a long term solution. The building was made to be very similar to Edmonton's rink, which is also due to be replaced soon.

Credit union Centre in Saskatoon seats 15 195 for hockey and has 44 corporate boxes. The team would draw from all of Saskatchewan. If the Jets have 8000 seats on a waiting list I don't doubt that Saskatoon could do it. Little Gary said that it is not the size of the market but the passion of the market. The negatives for Saskatoon sound like the naysayers for Winnipeg. no corporate support, city too small, arena too small and so on....... Keep the dream alive, NHL hockey in Saskatoon before Southern Ontario. www.creditunioncentre.com/seating.phpWhat you're forgetting is that Saskatoon isn't that rich as Winnipeg. I mean yeah there's a few wealthy neighborhoods in the Northeast (where I grew up) but having lived here all my life I know that the city is predominantly Middle Class aside from the richer parts and big country acreages that dot the landscape outside the city limits. I'm not too sure how many Saskatonians would be willing to shell out 6000 grand or more to watch NHL hockey. I know, I sound like one of those naysayers from 2007. It could happen, but it would take a miracle for the NHL to come here.

It could happen, but it would take a miracle for the NHL to come here. Good points and being a Saskatoonite adds great perspective to the debate. I would envision a team that drew from within a 3 hour radius. Yes this is difficult for weeknight games. We have seen the NHL bend over backwards for the Coyotes and the nights that their games were/are played on. Money and the middle class. Yes, the high end seats and suites need to be snapped up by companies and those with deep pockets. Could this happen? People said that it wouldn't in Winnipeg. Many companies and well off individuals were shut out of tickets here, showing that the well was even deeper than expected. An owner. Sound familiar. Perhaps, Saskatoonnhlowner.com should be looked into. Market studies. The perfect storm of NHL teams in trouble and shortage of locations to move to. Yes the BOG at this time would probably not entertain Saskatoon. But as foolish as IEH was they saw the potential for 7-10 games in the market. Many factors have to come together for Saskatoon to get NHL hockey. One thing it does have is passion for the game. Look at all the dreaming on this site and look at the end result. ;D So who in Saskatoon has the cash and hockey passion to be an ownership candidate? that is step1. May I suggest ownership candidate #1. He already owns an english soccer team and and is a born and bred Saskatchewanite. He likes sports! . In October 2008 Wilson became a leading investor in Derby County F.C.. Derby are currently playing in the Npower Championship,[2] the highest division of The Football League and second-highest division overall in the English football league system after the Premier League. He is a supporter of the Canadian Olympic Swim Team and made a significant donation toward the menβs 2008 Beijing relay team training.[8] He also supports the sport of volleyball, and now owns the Rally Pointe volleyball centre in Calgaryen.wikipedia.org/wiki/W._Brett_WilsonNow lets get that website and discussion board going. ;D Miracles can happen
