I wish Don Wittman was around. He would have been so proud to see this team return.

I wish Don Wittman was around. He would have been so proud to see this team return. I think a classy move for TNSE (not that TNSE needs help with making classy moves) would be to name the MTSC media facilities after Don Wittman.

I said this months ago: I agree on all three points. Does the broadcast gondola at MTSC have a name yet? If not, I think it should be named the "Don Wittman Broadcast Gondola". Many arenas have done this to honour their radio and tv legends, and I would say that Don Wittman fits this description for Winnipeg. I should have started a petition for it. It would be a great thing for TNSE to do.

I thought Kielback was real solid for those games for Buffalo.

I thought Kielback was real solid for those games for Buffalo. Especially considering that he was filling in. If he was the regular announcer and had the players burned into his mind he'd be that much better. Yep, Keilback is my first choice by far. Any nominations for colour commentator? m.

As much as I would like that, dont they have the media area already named after someone who has passed on?

www.winnipegfreepress.com/breakingnews/jets-may-land-former-flyers-forward-126652238.htmlSee end of article... "ANOTHER VOICE IN THE MIX?: A source in the broadcast industry said Manitoba product Dennis Beyak, the radio voice of the Toronto Maple Leafs since 1998, is a contender for the play-by-play gig with the Jets. The deal with TSN radio and TV is expected to be announced soon, as are details of whether the televised games would be simulcast or whether there would be separate voices for radio and TV play-by-play." Did a google search on Beyak, and found this...kinda funny. I think he's second from the left. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qz54d-r81U
