I won't be giving anything permission to link through my Facebook or Yahoo or Paypal accounts (Paypal?! Really? I'm not paranoid and I'm reasonably technically savvy, but really, who would do such a thing?). Best of luck to you though. I'll be reading. lol @ the bold part What could go wrong?

That's a rhetorical question, right?

Okay, so do you have to register on the Free Press main site to become a member? Can't you just register for the forum? If you can, they are not letting me do so. This site is very user unfriendly.

Similar comments here... seems very user unfriendly.
Don't like having to log-in through one of a number of pre-existing external accounts either.

Yeah guys, John gets the message...let him work out the kinks and take in the appreciated feedback. It will be great. Give it time. Season is in 2 months.
All boards are already frozen except for "News" and "Ticket Community"
Aug 5th is still target freeze date, although it is conceivable this extends into next week.
Believe me, I will miss this board too, but it's time for a fresh start via the province's largest newspaper. And I certainly do not understand the notion that the WFP will infiltrate their "politics" or "censorship" into The JetStream.
It is a FAN FORUM, there will be no politics or slants. As was ROTJ, comments that are racist, sexist or personal attacking will not be tolerated. Otherwise it is open season. Any opinion can be expressed if done so maturely. Plain and simple.
Over time, there will also be multiple (as in far more than 2) mods patrolling The JetStream so it won't have one single axe-man. Sure I will have overall control, but much will be left up to proven moderators. The Winnipeg Free Press have not, nor will they, dictate content to the point of opinion censorship. But again, if it is inappropriate, then it is what it is and will not be tolerated. That is not censorship, it is common etiquette.
Really guys, get real with this. It is a forum. Period. It is supposed to be fun, not controvserial. K? K.

John,
Actually, its a fine "soft-launch". I'm sure things will improve while the actual season approaches. Rome wasn't built in a day.
Two items I was hoping you could answer:
1) Will there be a iPhone (mobile) friendly version?
2) I think there is an issue with older versions of IE. The chat board appears in the right boarder briefly, then disappears. All you are left with is the header at the top. Am I the only one experiencing this? Newer versions and Firefox work great.

John, I don't quite know how to describe it, but I am unable to view many of the pages at Jetstream. When I go to the individual thread, all I see is the ehader, then a big blank space.
IE7, Win XP - hey it's a work computer, so keep your shots to yourself.

So I'm stuck with that at work. Of course, not being able to access a chat room at work might make me more productive? Nah, who wants that

If the JetStream forum supports IE6, I'll be able to access it from work; currently, it does not, so it is not in a useable form for me.
I typically spend more time online at work than I do at home, so I'm sure I'd miss out on a lot of info/discussions if I relied only on JetStream.
