Well i am not a fan of the layout, but i signed up anyway. It needs to be a proper forum layout. Not liking the tweet/blog layout.....just my .02 cents. lol

John, it is brutal. Some things dont need "change" for the sake of change. Make it look like a forum, similar to this one or the ourbombers.com forum. And hopefully no Freep propaganda seeping into the Jets discussions.

I highly encourage everyone to migrate over there. If it's like ourbombers.com, you wont be disappointed. Those guys over there do a fantastic job with some very smart people.

JetStream is going to have its growing pains, for sure. They haven't yet officially launched it (i.e. hence the term "soft launch").
The life (& death) of an online forum is the content posted in it and the active participation of its members -- that's what, IMHO, made JetsOwner.com so great!
I agree that the format is different (& I'm not a fan of the embedded forum), and technically-speaking, ProBoards has been around for years and Tal.ki is compartively new. In the end if the Tal.ki forum provides poor support or is always down then that will be a showstopper.
I'm a fan of ProBoards b/c its a proven commodity -- but I'm also open to new ways of doing things too. (Could you imagine if the Eatons-huggers would have thwarted the building of the MTS Centre?!?!)
Give it a shot -- and if it doesn't improve by, say, the beginning of the season -- then DF & John have to make a hard decision -- keep it as an embedded forum using Tal.ki or move JetStream to a ProBoards hosted solution.
Regardless of HOW the forum is hosted & HOW its formatted, the members of the forum & their postings are really what matters.

It sucks to lose this site, but it is what it is...its just the internet lol

You might want to try loggin in via Yahoo or Google. |
