Perhaps Munz would have an opportunity to continue on to St Johns. Would that be a TN call or the local radio station out there?
1290 hiring CK would be the obvious choice and if he signs a deal with Bell, perhaps they could get some use out of his talents in other areas also. It never hurts to have another quality sports PBP guy under contract. When Rod Black has to call football games you know their is a depth issue in the sports department.

Are you insane? Chris Cuthbert is arguably the best play-by-play announcer today. Cuthbert knows his stuff, and calls the game well, but the actual sound of a broadcaster's voice is for whatever reason a big thing for me. Keilback had a cool, relaxed delivery that could also rev up for exciting moments. (I like Jim Hughson, Gord Miller, and always liked Bob Cole despite the Leafs associations) To me, Cuthbert's voice is too high-pitched, and there's kind of an awkward geekiness to his overall delivery. Cuthbert is 100x better than Jim "I'm a Canucks homer" Hughson. They should not even be compared. Cuthbert is that much better than Hughson.

If Keilback comes back on 1290, I get the feeling I will break out an old cassette tape and tape the game so I can listen to it once I get home from the opener (how lame is that?!!). Does anyone know if they would have a link on 1290 where you could listen to the broadcast after the game is over? lol Well I have hooked up a radio to my DVD hardrive (in your case a vcr maybe-lol)so I wouldnt miss something I wanted to hear.Works rather well, better then a cassette cause you can get the entire game in one shot with no tape hiss.
