Not sure if this has been brought up yet. I have been away at a rehabilitation clinic for people who have become mentally distraught due to a particular Stanley Cup Finals loss.
Anyway...speaking of which remember back in the late 90's/early 2000's when the Canadian media was all up in arms on how a Canadian team will never will the Stanley Cup ever again and that we may actually lose an additional 2-3 team with Toronto and Montreal eventually be the only remaining Canada based NHL teams?
Well, not only is the complete opposite in terms of relocation now occuring, but could the fact that 3 of the first 6 "New" Era cup finals featured a team from Canada, a trend that has not occured since the early 1990's, can we "officially" declare the day of the dying Canadian team over?
Has professionally hockey in this country finally returned to the early 90's nirvana (See what I did there?) that we all dreamed for?
A league, like there was 20 year ago when it was no surprise to see a Canadian team compete for the cup?

And the only ones that didn't feature Canadian teams featured good hockey markets....Pittsburgh, Detroit, Chicago, and Philadelphia

The only thing missing is a Canadian-based franchise WINNING! At 18 years now, its LONG OVERDUE to end now! And I'm still waiting for the Wild to make their first SCF appearance!
