In that case, what stops a horde of Habs fans from traveling to Toronto, donning Leafs jerseys and destroying the city?

Nope! I'd rather the league be FULL of teams who have such fanbases than teams in places where NO ONE cares - for me there is nothing worse for the NHL than the latter! Fact is, the more popular a team is in an area, the more likely there'll be r etard fans (why else are there no news of such behavior from fans of teams based in the Sunbelt while places like Montreal and Vancouver seem to bear the brunt of such behavior?) in the mix but at least they are financially viable and won't need bail outs (like Phoenix for instance) by the league! Since that is unavoidable, lemme come up with a solution if you wanna dissuade fans from rioting and full-scale hooliganism - LIFETIME BAN from season tickets! That's alot more workable in the long run if you ask me! Just my two cents!

I like the idea of publicly shaming the morons who do this sort of crap, and also instituting some sort of ban on them attending games (length depending on severity of the crime). Fairly close to what I'm getting at! LIKE IT! ;D

Fairly close to what I'm getting at! LIKE IT! ;D The public shaming has already been done. Whether the Canucks intend to ban the identified rioters from attending games remains to be seen.

Can you point us towards where they were publicly shamed? All I've seen is media and the Canucks say that it was a disgraceful display. I want a REAL public shaming, with the rioters names and photos posted publicly.

Isn't there a FB site ("Vancouver Riot Pics, Post Them Here" or something like that is the name) where they tag the rioters?
