I like it all, but I don't like how they have the exact same colours as the Saint John Seadogs, current CHL champions. AHHHHH! GET THAT SCUM OUT OF MY VISION....GO WILDCATS

Is that lion licking that hockey stick for luck?
Good logo otherwise. I agree logos are better without wordmarks, but for a brand new franchise, it's a good idea to have a wordmark on the jersey. That way all pics of game action remind the viewer of the team's identity. In a few years, once their identity has been established, they can drop the words and just keep the logo. Anaheim has introduced a 3rd jersey with just the D. I bet they'll adopt it as their full time jersey in a year or two.

I like the colors, name, and main logo, but the wordmark looks like WordArt. Agree. The jersey always looks better when you leave the wordmark off of it. Just let the logo speak for itself. Also, does every Canadian team really need to have the maple leaf plonked on it? Victoria is in Canada, we get it. It's the same reason McDonald, Wendys, etc toss maple leafs into their logos in Canada for no reason

The multinationals include the leaf in a misguided attempt to not appear foreign in the eyes of their customer base. While I suppose a few people might construe 'Royals' as foreign, the leafs inclusion is probably more of this "rah-rah' attitude about Canada that has cropped up in hockey circles recently. It does ruin the appearance of the logo in my opinion as well.
