Simple, the Canucks had too many Europeans, the Bruins were North American, that wins you cups. Proven stat. Only once in history has a team won the cup that didn't have majority of Canadians on the roster. Trade the Sedins, get some tougher D and try and move Luongo and his 10 year over priced contract For all the flack the Sedins are getting, I would take them over here. Maybe we can get a deal?

The Bruins simply wanted it more than the Canucks. Enough with this Go Jets Go about Europeans being inferior to North Americans, Vancouver played like Go Jets Go. End of story.

Actually, I don't think it's so much that Vancouver played like Go Jets Go, as the Bruins played great.

While I don't disagree with what your saying. There is one major difference between N/A (mainly Canadian players) and European players. European players grow up wanting to win a gold medal over anything else. Canadian kids grow up wanting to win the Stanley Cup. And while their is no doubt in my mind that the Euro's would like to win the cup. They just don't seem to want it as bad. That and the Sedin's don't like to be touched.

I figure that Europeans are raised on international-sized rinks, while Canadians are used to smaller rinks. Since Europeans use the larger rinks, they emphasize a more agile, less physically dominant-style of play. The Sedins are great goal scorers and play-makers, but they aren't physically dominant on the ice in the least. Boston just came in, roughed them up and pushed them around. Burrows was problematic for Boston early in the Stanley Cup Final, but increasingly became irrelevant as the series wore on.
