If you want to go out with the family, Garbonzo's on Pembina has great pizza and is kid-friendly.

Lisis Ranch House on Main st.! Not overly priced but it's the best pizza in the city ive tried no doubt. The owners also used to own a pizza place called ciocaharas (I think thats how you spell it lol) if your more familiar with that name. I always come back to Winnipeg and eat at Gondola, I just love that pizza. And it was Ciociara's and it was awesome pizza, I used to love eating there.

Paradise (on Portage) or Colassios (thats not how you spell it I don't think... but it's on Corydon). And if we include the cost of the pizzas in there together with the quality, I'd probably go with Chez Sophie in St.Boniface

What do they call a slice? When she finished i was trying so hard not to roll my eyes I didnt catch it, I think it like a widget or something but not sure. little OT but this reminds me of when Subway insisted that they just cut small piece of bread top off the bun. I remember asking them to cut the bun in half and got a lecture from the sandwich artist that they were not allowed to do that despite the sandwich your way advertising ;D Anyone try Pizzaland on Portage it is good as well.

Romani's on Pembina is a hidden gem. The Big New Yorker all the way. 100% agree. Best pizza I've had so far in the city!

what ever happened to Shakey's Pizza ?.....the older people here may remember it. it was on Pembina Hwy. that was good stuff. and yes Calabria pizza is excellent. they used to have a store in island lakes, guess they moved it to scurfield. Monticchio pizza on Osbourne is also a really good pie too. but i do like my Domino's Brooklyn pizza. dont really know why that is, but it goes great with beer. Pizza Hotline is garbage. their pizza's always taste like the box they are packed in. There was a Shakey's on Portage in St. James that turned into a similar place called Merk's and is now Boston Pizza. Holy crap. I remembered Shakey's (a staple for our hockey windups) but totally forgot it was Merk's for awhile. Shakey's had decent fried chicken in the buffet, if I recall.

Oh, as for Pizza, Sorrento's, Santa Lucia and Gondola are my top three. All three are also wildly inconsistent, though.
