Hi guys, So, me + boredom at work + calculator = dangerous. Here is a visual breakdown of just how long we have been waiting, based on some key dates. First, there was May 5, 2009. That was the day Phoenix filed for bankruptcy and the whole Gongdale/Balsillie/Ice Edge/Scruggs/Goldwater/Hulsizer mess started. How long has that been dragging on? Here are some different ways of looking at it. 25 months 107 weeks 752 days ~18,000 hours 1.08 million minutes of the Gongdale ---- Even longer, is how long this latest forum has been up. Based on Darren's activation date it is safe to assume that the current board has been running since November 9, 2004. Exactly a week before the MTS Centre opened. That was 79 months ago..... or 341 weeks 2390 days 143,400 hours 8.6 million minutes ago **In that span of time, we the ROTJ'ers started over 12,900 threads and wrote close to a quarter million posts. (probably half of those debating the name of the team and/or threatened to be throat punched at one point ;D ) That is a lot of opinions and typing! --- Even more incredible is the amount of time that has passed since the Jets last played a game in the NHL, on April 28, 1996181 months 5507 days ~330,400 hours ~19.82 million minutes --- anyway, when it looks like a week from now is too long a wait, just sit back and really think about how long it took to get this far. Yes, the NHL is tight-lipped and so is True North but if we can wait 5,000+ days for the NHL to return.... we can certainly wait another 3-7 days if need be.
