So will new franchise if they do take the jets name will they also reitre the same numbers like 9 hull 25 steen and who knows 10 hawrchuck?  i am curious if they will try and accept winnipegs past ;D personally i hope they do it would mean alot to winnipegers and the rest of manitoba

We will have ATLs records to break. i woudl think, this would be incorrect records are team/city related they follow a franchise until such time, the originating city comes back into the fold anything hanging in phoenix will most likely be taken down and UPS/FedEx ed over to Winnipeg once its all official ( i say ups/fedex because, they probably can't afford any other method ) or they'll wait until phoenix comes to town and someone on the team will bring it with them LOLOL ;D

I think, whether they have the old numbers honoured or not, it's important that they keep 37 retired when they come here (Dan Snyder)

Did this happen with the Minnesota Wild? No... Bill Goldsworthy and Bill Mastertorn are still retired by the Dallas Stars. I know we want to connect with our past, but this tam has 11 years of history as well. I don't think it mkes sese to pretend it doesn't exist, and that it needs to be honoured to some extent as wel.

I don't think it mkes sese to pretend it doesn't exist, and that it needs to be honoured to some extent as wel. This is true. And the Wild issue 8 and 19.
