Alright, I was taking a peek at the Thrashers' facebook page (not trolling), and someone on there from Nashville wrote in support of the Predators and said that one of the things that Atlanta should do to succeed more was to market the team better.
He cited the promotions in Nashville. He said that when the Preds traded for Mike Fisher that his first game with the team that they charged $12 for ALL tickets, since Fisher wears #12. I think he also said that they did the same thing when Shea Weber made it into the All-Star game or something, but since he wears #6 they charged a whopping $6.
Wow. Just wow.

100% not true. There were never $6 tickets this season, the $12 Mike Fisher night was for about 500 nose bleed seats and most were sold before the trade at higher prices anyways. You got a team now leave mine alone.

Besides, the guy is from New Jersey. They have had a team for quite a long time. ;D

However with the news I've been hearing out of there recently, I've been having second thoughts about that belief! Anyway, should you guys sustain the momentum and develop a fanbase strong and deep enough to withstand occasional bad seasons (READ: Not have attendance drop below 80%), then I will put you in the same category as Tampa - as a legitimate southern hockey market that should stay put! Good luck Preds!

Somehow, a promotion with probably 250 tickets on a Tuesday night gets changed to 17K tickets full giveaway. Next thing, everyone thinks it is true. It is like Fox news. Keep repeating it and a certain segments thinks it is true
