How will you cope changing over from your current supported team to Winnipeg's team?
I'm a pretty hardcore fan of Vancouver and have been for quite some time but I know that when we get our team back I'll be cheering for them no matter what. With the reports that our team will be in the NW anyone who supported a team from that division will be in a bit of an awkward situation.
If your old team and new team play each other will you only cheer for Winnipeg or will you be happy if your old team won? Will you grow to dislike/hate your old team or will you always have a soft spot in your heart for them?
Opinions? I think I'd still keep up to date with the Canucks, they have great management and no matter what anyone says the team is very likeable.

Sens and Canucks became my 2 favourite teams (long story short), but I also support any Canadian team with a distant DISTANT Leafs team even as my 6th favourite. For me it's simple, once the Jets are back it's Jets or BUST! I'll always be cheering for our Jets, but I will have a bit of a soft spot for other Canadian teams. Same as with many Canadian hockey fans - even the Oilers faithful were cheering for the Flames for heavens sake back in 2004 because Canada was so over-due for a cup run. If Oilers fans can cheer for Calgary as "canada's best chance" then I think it's fair to say we'll cheer for the Jets but be able to cheer for a secondary team (say any Canadian team) once the Jets are eliminated.

Wpg or bust for me also but any Canadian team is fair to cheer for when they are on a cup run!

I'll still cheer for the Preds when they aren't playing WPG. Wpg goes to #1, bumping the Preds to #2 and Dallas to #3, Pittsburgh continuing to fall to #4.

I love the Flyers, so it won't be hard to still cheer for them, since we'll only play them once a year. But if they met in the Final it would be GO JETS GO all the way.

I am proud to say I have never cheered passionately for any NHL team (except for those playing against the Canucks, Flames, Oilers or Coyotes during the playoffs) since the Jets left. So no transitioning needed. Been ready for 15 years. Bring em on!

Huge Leafs fan here but I'll drop them in an instant if/when we get an NHL franchise back in town.

I cheer for the Oilers mostly because I live here and did a bit also as a kid. But I look forward to dropping them when the time comes.

I won't, I'll just watch twice as much hockey. The Bruins play in the east so for only one or two games a year, I can fence sit. And if they ever meet in the final, well I'll deal with that pleasant conundrum when the day comes.

(Note - I was born in 1985, so I'm not counting the WHA days! Even though I have the last Avco cup game on tape and it's rather awesome)

I have been a Montreal Canadians Fan almost my whole life. Even when we had the Jets, I would go to the games and cheer on the Habs (yes, I was one of those).
I have given this alot of thought over the past few years, and I have decided that when Winnipeg/Manitoba gets our team back it will be Winnipeg First, Habs second! I want my son and daughters to follow this love for our City and Provence for the rest of thier lives.
If Winnipeg and Montreal get eliminated from the playoffs, then I cheer for the remaining Canadian Teams in this order...Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Ottawa, (Quebec?)!!!
Go Jets Go!!!

Having moved from Winnipeg in 1998 at age 12, I supported the Flames, as I was simply glad to be in a city with NHL hockey again. I will continue to support the Flames first, but if Winnipeg were to get the Coyotes back (before the fools at Gongdale decided to shell out 25 million dollars) I was ready to turn back. Unless Winnipeg get their old franchise back, I will have no rooting interest here, but I still damn well right will support the cause for NHL hockey in Winnipeg....and until there is a rivalry involving the Flames, I'll quietly support. My biggest emotional investment involved the Coyotes moving right back to whence they came from, but while my rooting support is all but gone here, I will still be as big an advocate of the NHL returning to Winnipeg as I was before (I moved to Calgary at age 12, 2 years after the Jets departure, and being grateful for NHL hockey, I switched allegience almost instantly....despite the dark days of the Flames back then)
But really, until there's bad blood, I'll be happy to have Winnipeg be my #2 team....but a playoff series can change that (and that's easier said than done for Calgary lately)

Still will be a Wild and Nucks fan in that order first! However they can supplant the Blackhawks from third place on my list and push 'em down to fourth. Don't worry I will still poke around here every now and then and will still wish the Peg team and their fans the best!
