I am sticking by the people of this site and those "in the know". Its been a long season and I am not about to give up now just when things that are supposed to happen finally do happen. There is work to do, and I believe it will get done. Even if that work doesn't get done, and a team doesn't end up here in October, I'll never give up the faith. I didn't 8 years ago, and I'm not about to give up now.

To all the Debbie Downers: have some CONFIDENCE! If you have been following this board for any length of time you should have a good idea on how this is going to play out. (Especially now that we are done doing favours for the NHL) If it plays out anything like the Coyotes saga, then hurray for us, I guess.

WOW 900 posts! I thought I'd hit maybe 200 hundred posts when signed up until we had a NHL team. Boy I was wrong! Probably hit a 1000 before we get an answer! Crazy

I guess we still have to wait for official press from Glendale before we can move on.
The Thrashers are in the eastern time zone, which means the updates..meetings etc.. will be earlier in the day for us. That is good news!

Someone on the previous page on this thread was talking about ASG putting a final push to the local investors. With respect, I would suggest, hope and believe that that phase is already done. I'm pretty sure that we have heard words on this site like "signed, sealed but not delivered" with respect to the Thrashers. That is the only plausible explanation that I can think of to explain the continuing optimism on this site from those that are "in the know".
I cannot conceive of a situation where that optimism (for 2011) can coexist logically with yet another "leverage" play, but this time in Atlanta.
Therefore, I believe that we are now in the phase of completing the required signoffs to "deliver" this file and this team to TN. That is my "belief" based on my own logical analysis of what we have heard.
Therefore, I think it must now come down to 2 remaining factors: 1) logistics of completing the signoffs; and 2) the wishes of the parties involved as to the timing and nature of the announcements.
That is my analysis.
Oh, baby, I am so ready for this!!!

If we don't have a team this year I'd say we are looking at another 4 to5 years before we are this close again.

If Atlants is coming to the Peg....Most of the work has been done already! No way they have enough time to pull a huge sale like this together! I do beleive alot of the frame work for a sale to Winnipeg has been done already and all that is left to do is dot the i's and cross the t's....and of course get thw blessing from the NHL!!!! DF can't confirm this but i do beleive he has hinted at this for a long time! All the work is already done or its not gonna happen imo (and my opinion is worth what you paid for it lol)

The only thing left to do is sign here, here, and here please. This should not take much more then a couple few days. There is only one hockey game from know until the weekend. This is the perfect time to make the announcement.

We will hear nothing from TNSE until GB makes his announcement. You will recall what GB has said all along."If there is anything to announce I will announce it" So relax, pour yourselves a drink, spark up a fattie and keep the faith. All will be reveled in due course. ;D

The NHL needs to keep Canadians focused on NHL through cup finals if Van get knocked out there will be an announcement if Van stays in Announcement will be after finals This is my opinion but remember 65 percent of television revenue comes from Canada until next year!

I've put out an offer before, and I'll repeat it now, that if anyone wants to share season tickets let me know. I am a partner in a small business. I have talked with my partners about ST's. If we get some people who want part of a season, we can assemble a group and get more STs that way! Let me know by private message on this site.

If time is critical as everyone believes there is no chance they what until after the Canucks are out of the playoffs. That could be still 5 weeks away. If they sign this deal and not announce it there will be leaks like crazy for weeks. This will be announce the day it is sign and that day is soon then later.

I do agree gobombersgo but I think the NHL will force this issue it does not mean that the season ticket drive etc can not take place the official announcement will be put off but by the time that announcement is made almost everyone who seriously wants season tickets in WPG will have put a deposit on one or have paid for them already!

So I am hearing that all paperwork is complete and that we could hear a Thrashers to Winnipeg announcement possibly as soon as Friday! The big tie up is the relocation of the Moose. We'll see. Be ready to hit P and M!

Question The Atlanta Hawks are still playing. Does their playoff run have any bearing as to the completion of this re-location agreement? The Hawks are the more important part of the ASG portfolio so maybe the ASG will wait until they are done with their season before finishing up with NHL/TN. They play again Thurs in Atl.
