It is possible, I just choose to be positive unlike others. I guess if one is always negative they won't change now and will think I am a fool. I'm still positive but I can't help but be disapointed with last night. Regardless of whether Atlanta is "a lock" or not, Phoenix was a lock if the vote failed last night and now that team is off the table for next season. We had 2 possible teams, now there is only 1. And if nothing happens with Atlanta extremely quickly, I think it is pretty obvious we are SOL for next year. i think its pretty obvious you have no clue so dont post on the matter. There is plenty of time

I am cautiously optimistic. In part because I just don't trust Bettman nor do I trust the bog. Both of which seem more then happy enough to shake or hand and then spit at our back as walk away. I wanted the thrashers more, to be honest, however it's always scary when 50% of your options for a +ve outcome fly away. I swear if we don't get a team this year, or at the very least buy the team and have to wait out one lame duck season, I'm done with the NHL. I'll be more then happy to watch more NFL and NCAA football anyways and save a few grand in the process. I agree we really need to hear something from the big TNSE, Bettman has to lift the gag order now. I couldn't agree more, except I'll be shifting my sports dollars to the Bombers, Wheat Kings and some international hockey (would love to see the World Juniors in Russia and/or Sweden in a couple of years). My friends want to continue with an annual NHL road trip this upcoming year, but I'm not going anywhere until it's to see a Jets road game.

There is plenty of time Thanks for the kind words... Could you define "plenty of time"? As I said, I remain hopeful, but considering late May was the drop-dead deadline last year (when Glendale had to put the $25 Million into an account to stop the press conference at the MTS Centre) then how can you believe there is more than about 2 weeks? And there are absolutely no more excuses to delay an announcement if indeed we are getting Atlanta next season... care to explain what I'm not understanding rather than attacking people?

One more person for the BANJO BOWL and a road trip to Regina! The CFL will be passing the Coyotes in attendance in Regina this year with the help of the Wpg fans.........lmao

As I said before passionate people who are getting frustrated! The timetable is not really set in stone the AHL and NHL can accept changes till the middle of June. When Atlanta moved from Calgary it happened at the end of May beginning of June.

While I too do not believe this is a done deal, I do believe that negotiations are underway otherwise TNSE would have no reason not to make a statement saying they are not working on a deal for the Thrashers and put and end to the saga. Since they have not done so, I think we can be cautiously hopeful.

Even the Bombers will probably outdraw the Coyotes in ACTUAL attendance, but the Riders could even outdraw the every-so inflated reported numbers!

ATL season ticket drive could use all the help it could get. The NHL being silent is a good thing. We won't hear anything today, maybe not until next week but as long as TNSE, ASG, or NHL don't say the Team is staying in ATL we can still be hopeful. Try to ignore the chatter from Kincade, Foley and the other losers in ATL. The more they talk about Balkan's and White Knights and suing Lawless the better it is for us. Keep the faith

To all the Debbie Downers: have some CONFIDENCE! If you have been following this board for any length of time you should have a good idea on how this is going to play out. (Especially now that we are done doing favours for the NHL)

Keep the faith Agreed there, the fact that it's quiet out of Atlanta right now seems like a positive. We all saw in Glendale over the past 2 years that the NHL trys to pump out good news to increase ticket sales... so this seems like a good sign so far. However, I find it hard to believe there is much time left. Be it 1, 2, 3 or maybe 4 weeks... who's to say. But clearly, if something doesn't happen soon we are out of luck for next year. The Moose would need to know soon for plenty of reasons, but look at it from ASG's perspective as well... We are working on the assumption that they will not operate the team next season right? Well, then they are running out of time. Unless they have an offer from a group to buy the team that is pretty close to being done, then they really have almost no time left. In 1-5 weeks they lose the option of selling to Winnipeg for next season, so how much longer can they actually wait to find a local buyer? Bettman could be forcing them to wait of course, but overall, we all know these are complicated transactions. At this late stage in the game, ASG must have a pretty good idea of whether or not they can get a deal DONE in time for next year. If they pull the trigger on moving the team here, I just think it has to happen very soon.

I for one am very happy!
The leaders and insiders on this message board have harped for months that Atlanta is the real target. Now that I know exactly what the NHL and Glendale had up their sleeve I too can turn my attention to Atlanta and I'm glad.
I'm glad because I don't have follow every ridiculous nuance of Glendale municipal politics. I'm glad because I don't have defend myself from Coyotes fans who don't have a clue. I'm glad because I don't have listen to whiners masquerading as pro hockey players. I'm glad because I don't have to suffer the indignity of viewing pictures of a 1/4 full brand new hockey rink that should be full.
However I'm mostly glad, because I can watch as they buy themselves more rope to hang from.
Remember Glendale residents, you wanted this.
The Jets v. Coyotes games are going to be awesome!

We have all been led to believe previously that the BOG was not willing to lose any more money operating the Coyotes. Well they lost at least $12 Million this year, and could lose more next year. The only way to cover these losses is a relocation fee from an ASG/TNSE deal. Will it happen? The NHL does not need us as leverage with Phoenix anymore. Quebec City can take our place, and Glendale will not hesitate to fund losses for 2012-2013 as long as Scruggs and her cronies are in charge.

We will sell out and then pull a no show a truly empty building would grab media attention all over North America. We could send a huge statement to the NHL! They might laugh but the fans have to be accounted to as some point in all this BS!
