so i think the only reason they would want to announce it yet would be to keep attention on playoffs.... that being said i dont think that would hold them off so...... bring on the thrashers baby! OR....and this is just a shot in the dark here so bare with me, there is nothing to announce?

I still do not trust the NHL or GB. I have a strange/sick feeling in my gut! More hockey in Calgary/Edmonton and Minnesota for me next year!

I would like to hear from TSNE today, something at least to confirm that Phoenix is 100% off the radar.

I am sticking by the people of this site and those "in the know". Its been a long season and I am not about to give up now just when things that are supposed to happen finally do happen. There is work to do, and I believe it will get done.

As others are saying...it is time for TNSE to share with the hockey fans of Winnipeg what exactly is going on. The Moose season is finished; Phoenix is out of the way. For the hockey fans of Winnipeg...with all we have been through... TNSE...please come forward and share with us what is going on.

There is work to do, and I believe it will get done. Do not get me wrong I am just not giving up my few games a year I have tickets for until I see the season tickets for WPG hockey on my desk! I will buy the tickets as soon as they are available I will even pay for 3 years in advance (do not want to) if I have to! I just want Wpg to get a team, as said in earlier posts I would even cheer for the Toronto Maple Leafs if they became the WPG Jets.

I guess if one is always negative they won't change now and will think I am a fool.

No one is being a fool this is passionate people wanting to watch hockey close to home not having to travel countless miles to see a game or two

Remember we are spectators in this whole saga! It is up to TNSE if this is worth all the effort it will take!

Just one more thought, I am guessing there is probably a gag order also on this Atlanta situation, so we may not here anything from True North until there is positive information. Finger crossed but we do finally know the end is near.

ASG first has to see if they can't pressure any of the groups looking to keep the team in town to pick up the pace and make some real progress towards keeping the team where it is. If that doesn't happen in the next week or so, we may hear an announcement from the NHL first, and then TNSE. Seriously, those who think that the deal is "done" are sadly mistaken. There's still a few hurdles left. Nothing on our end of things, but in Atlanta.

I am cautiously optimistic. In part because I just don't trust Bettman nor do I trust the bog. Both of which seem more then happy enough to shake or hand and then spit at our back as walk away.
I wanted the thrashers more, to be honest, however it's always scary when 50% of your options for a +ve outcome fly away.
I swear if we don't get a team this year, or at the very least buy the team and have to wait out one lame duck season, I'm done with the NHL. I'll be more then happy to watch more NFL and NCAA football anyways and save a few grand in the process.
I agree we really need to hear something from the big TNSE, Bettman has to lift the gag order now.

Just a thought..not a rumour or anything of the sort but Bettman wasn't at the meeting yesterday...I believe Daly said that he was at an "important game" or something to that effect. Who's to say he wasn't dealing with True North on the whole Atlanta front? If we're right and Bettman and Chipman do have a mutual understanding of things then it would make sense that they'd be meeting soon. Especially if, as Darren said, the NHL knows of our timing concerns. All in all even if that's not what he was doing yesterday that's what he'll be doing very very soon.

Which we can understand but the process has to be played out by the NHL and GB

I guess if one is always negative they won't change now and will think I am a fool. I'm still positive but I can't help but be disapointed with last night. Regardless of whether Atlanta is "a lock" or not, Phoenix was a lock if the vote failed last night and now that team is off the table for next season. We had 2 possible teams, now there is only 1. And if nothing happens with Atlanta extremely quickly, I think it is pretty obvious we are SOL for next year.
