I think that when the jets or whatever therecalled will sell out all their road games because everyone will want to see the knew team. Agreed?

as noted in other threads: there are more jets fans in other cities than yotes fans in other cities so do you have a point, but sellouts just to see a new team , i dont agree

Probably in Canadian cities, don't know about in the United States though Maybe Minnesota, but that's about it. They may not draw any worse than Phoenix or Altanta in a lot of US cities though. Those two teams don't generally draw a crowd anywhere.

I don't think they will out draw anyone, The Canadian cities already sell out almost all games, now it may be premium pricing which will help the other teams

I know the ROTJ has a decent amount of support in the Original six American cities, but most of those sellout anyway. The city fan bases that ill be excited by a Winnipeg return already sellout most of their games (Boston, the Canadian squads, Minny, Detroit, etc.)

people pay to see 'players' such as crosby , ovechkin etc..
if / when Winnipg gets a team with a 'superstar' like Teemu was, then that is what would be the selling factor not a team
only original 6 teams and a few other big market teams draw a crowd because of the team. Their fan bases are huge because of the length of time they've been in the league and how much more television time they get

We need to entice Teemu come to the Peg and be the first captain of our new team although I would love to see it, it's not gonna happen. Teemu has been down in the states for longer than he ever played here, he also won a cup with the ducks.

I would venture a guess, that Teemu (UFA this year) would love to come back to where he started if given the opportunity

I think the cities that have a fanbase that will be extremely excited about a return (the Original six cities, Minny, the other Canadian cities) already sell out for all their games (Except for Ottawa which has averaged 99.7 per cent this year, so close enough). I think they'll receive a great reception from the fans in those cites, but I can't see how it would have an impact on ticket sales.

I'm sure a lot of people from Winnipeg will go to other cities to watch their team play, which will increase other team's attendance. When Montreal Canadiens plays in Ottawa it almost looks like a home game for them.

I have generally gone to a "handful" of Wild games every year. I have stayed away from the X the last couple of seasons in response to the team's general mismanagement. The novelty factor of a Jets return would bring me back for at least one game. No question about it. I know it's not exactly an easy drive during the winter, but it would be good to see a smattering of Jets jerseys in St. Paul (as well as some green at MTS).
This team is in desperate need of an arch rival. Heck, another divisional team in the same timezone would be a start.

I think if there is any team in Canada (or perhaps even including US teams) who'd have the most rivalry potential for Minnesota would most likely be Winnipeg's! Can't wait to see this, especially when Buttman finally decides to get his head out of his a ss!
