Wow, that NESN network was quite candid about how much better off the NHL would be with a team in Quebec's old arena rather than in Phoenix, Altanta, or Florida. Surprising to see a US based NHL broadcaster talk like that. Or really any play by play announcer. You might see that sort of opinion on TV by a talking head "analyst" in the intermission, but rarely while the play is live. Quebec fans certainly got the message out there. Kudos to them.

I can picture Buttman fuming at the comments by the announcers on NESN because its one more hole on his delusion that hockey will become hugely successful in the sunbelt!

No second guessing what they will name there new franchise!!! and yea, I think they would riot if they tried to name them something else. How come no riots ever break out in St Boniface? Karl Pierre Peladeau Quebecor's CEO and Nords would-be owner has already said how much the team means to Quebec and how that would be the name. I'm not concerned about this at all. They will be the Nordiques v. 2.0.
