I thought republicans like McCain were into capitalism, didnt they have a disagreement with the USSR about that?
I think McCain is bringing it up again because he's still sour over losing an election and not even winning his home state and not being able to get GWI to back off.

What does McCain care? If COG does this, is McCain going to be around in 5 years to answer questions as to why Glendale is bankrupt?
I respect the guy for his service. He was a POW. But he can lick my sack for his stance here. He's been on a major losing streak ever since his boner of a decision to unleash Palin on the world. And this is further example that he has lost touch.
Time for him to retire before he hurts his legacy.

McCain carried Arizona in 2008 - won by a 8.5 per cent margin, Could have been higher, but there was low Republican turnout.

Because if you're corrupt and endorse illegal deals that benefit the bank account of you and your wife, you have your war medals to hide behind.

I didn't know they gave out medals for crashing 3 jets, or bombing civilian power plants, or graduating second from the bottom of his class.... If his Dad and grandfather weren't Admirals, John would have been a washout. "I am a proud fiscal conservative, I will match my record against anyone," the senator said. "To somehow think the Phoenix Coyotes don't need incentives to stay where they are when we are subsidizing all the stadiums for the Cactus League teams, Chase Field, University of Phoenix Stadium, all the stadiums that have been erected all over the country -- I don't like it, but that's the world we live in." How is subsidizing arena's and stadiums the same as subsidizing a sports franchise? Does Glendale subsidize the Cardinals? Any of the teams of the Cactus League? NO! That's a terrible argument not to mention a bad precedent.

This is hilarious! Well, I say JOHN, if it is sooo important for the "Valley" and the state that the Coyote's stay, why don't all of the cities in the "Valley" contribute to this so that it doesn't all fall on Glendale. He alludes to the entire West Valley, yet only Glendale puts up cash! Politicking to the max here!

He doesnt understand the difference in investing in infrastructure (stadiums) and buying a sports team for a so-called Millionaire from Chicago???

Weird - just looking around and McCain has a long, rather shady history, with Delaware North which is owned by Jeremy Jacobs, chair of the NHL BOG. ftp.resource.org/courts.gov/c/F3/174/174.F3d.213.98-7097.htmlThey were involved in the same defamation suit. I wonder if the history between McCain and Jacobs has anything to do with McCain's current involvement?
