Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I have a hard time believing that 50% of this board has connections to people high up in the world of professional hockey. Of course, if I'm being a cynical idiot, both me and Bobster will be incredibly happy people. Here's to my idiocy! Have you never heard of that Kevin Bacon game? Winnipeg is not that big. Lots of people deal with True North. I had drinks with a rep that calls on them. Filled me in on a few things but I'm not spewing as I'm taking that believe it when it happens stance. |

Bobster, aren't you the same guy that posted a similar thread that said the Thrashers was a done deal, and then asked to have the thread removed because you didn't want people to get too excited?

Here's a grain of salt:
On March 14th Bobster claimed to have a connection "very very very very high up in TNSE".
Along with that claim he posted a rumour that he went through all kinds of pains to underline that it was just a rumour, nothing to freak out about... just like he has here.
Sounds like a real connected guy.

I have it on good authority from a reliable source particularly within TNSE, as you know cannot be named name for their sake, that we will know within the next 20 days if the Coyotes are relocating to Winnipeg, if that deadline passes, an announcement that the Thrashers are coming to Winnipeg will be in 60 days. Now again, take this for what its worth. I know this is a place to discuss rumours and such. Please no bashing, I truly do believe this source as they are VERY VERY high up within the pipleline. I am just reporting what I have heard, I do trust the source which makes the validity of this closer to true than not. Again, take it for what it's worth. This could be a big fat lie! It is tough to say anything even if you think your source is good. My source told me a month ago that it was the Thrashers and then last Friday at the Moose game I was told the same thing by someone completely different that is in the know at TNSE. Right now it seems like Phoenix is close to being ours but yet my 2 sources still insist it is the Thrashers  I just don't know if I can take another year or 2 of this...I want a team NOW and don't care which one it is  |
