I'm kind of curious as to what you all think our team "identity" should be (as far as on-ice personnel). You know how the Flyers are always the Rough & tough type, the Oilers are the typically Small & speedy (like Montreal). What type of team do you think we will be?
According to my younger, limited memory of the Jets, we were forever a team that never had the right mix of players to guarantee long-term success. Either too many finesse players and no grit, or too many grinders and no scoring. Feel free to correct me if you remember different, but that's my take from my limited memory of being a Jets fan who had to move when he was 5 and watched them from afar all over Canada until they left.
Personally, I'm hoping to see a mix of players along the lines of the Detroit Red Wings. The right mix of young talent with able-bodied vets who can still hold the fort down while the younger players develop.

Yeah, Detroit's been doing it right for a while. They're the ideal team to model after, IMO.

I don't even want to think about it until we officially have a team

If we get the Coyotes, we'll be a "not really all that good of a team but manage to win by relying on your aging but currently super good goalie" type of team ;D
