Its simply a feel good thought..nothing more guys..who wouldn't love to see this?
Forshadowing a future possibilty...
I doubt anyone really thinks this is a possible headline today considering Selanne is contracted to another team and we don't yet have a franchise? Sorry if I offended anyone with my wishfull thinking?

I obviously can't see Teemu coming back, but think it's amazing that Doan potentially will. Such a good story to have someone return. (against his will none the less, but still coming back to where he started) Good story.

Selanne name will get retired by the Ducks...he'll likely stay there... it seems like we are getting at least 1 bring back selanne thread a day in this section...dream away... |

Doan would get booed right of the ice if he came back.. Doan as Captain of a failing franchise in a City he raised his kids. He is being politically correct from the point of view of his team and City...I disagree with some of his comments...but.. If he was to say "I would love to move the Coyotes and my family to Winnipeg"...that would go viral...in a bad way for him.... Of course we would love it...as Jets fans... |

I would hope Doan wouldn't get booed off the ice. People need to give these guys a break. They're not going to ish' all over Phoenix on they're way out. It's nothing against moving to Winnipeg, just moving. I don't think anyone on this board can say that if they were forced to sell they're house, move up to Flin Flon, find a house, and try and settle a family in a new life that they would be super excited about it. I know they're Hockey Players so they should expect/be used to it, but we're just fans. We shouldn't care or worry about they're personal life so much.
Boo them if they don't try when they get here.

There is NOTHING wrong with this thread! It was just in the wrong section but, gimme a break! It's quite obvious this isn't somebody coming on this site to cause harm and shame on you people for jumping on this new user like the purpose of this was to do so.
I'm almost always embarassed for some of you at least once a day....

Agreed. But it may offend Wavygravy. Why don't you tell everyone what I was offended by??? It sure as he!! wasn't the possibility of the team being called the Winnipeg Jets. It was your comparison of TNSE not naming the team the Jets to the bombing of Pearl Harbour. Good job. |
