by the way. if anyone finds the connection on my new signature, you are amazing. They were all Penguins draft picks...? Close - they all played for Wilkes-Barre. I think Bonvie was picked by Edmonton, but i'm not completely sure. I still remember his last regular season home game here, he scored a goal late to beat Hershey.

Wow, the handful of fans they have sure are good at coming up with excuses. It always amazes me how sport can cause people to become so oblivious to reality. Atlanta is not a hockey market, deal with it!

LoL 25 people, any videos or pictures? This was my favourite reply on their forum "Do you even know what it takes for a team to be approved for relocation? Obviously not, otherwise you wouldn't be sitting here trying to bait people looking like an uninformed idiot. Phoenix went out to dinner with their new owner a couple of nights ago. I'd say that one's about wrapped up. We've got a situation where the NHL hasn't even had to step in and run our team yet. We've got interested parties and a large viable market. Now based on what the 'Peg has to offer, I fully understand why you're on a message board of a major metropolis city discussing what your city was and still is incapable of doing, supporting an NHL team. But I'd go ahead and give up now before you get your hopes up and have them crushed again." So this guy thinks because MH took the team out for dinner its a done deal. He also assumes that since the NHL bought Phoenix that they will now buy Atlanta and every other team that goes broke. He also thinks that ASG has more money then TNSE, and Atlanta has more hockey fans then Winnipeg. He's dead wrong on all his assumptions.

I betcha we could get more than 25 people out on Portage & Main to watch a live broadcast of any CoG announcement tomorrow...in -35'C weather. LOL!!

looks like plan b is safe ... i forking love it!!! .. @johnkincade The NHL is not interested in anymore "groups" without a prominent majority stakeholder owning franchises.

Does this mean that the mystery buyer Kincaid's been talking about has been ruled out by the league, or does it refer to some other group (AJC had reported two different interested parties).

Kincade is IceEdgeDJ with a radio show - For this deal to work the NBA team needs to be on the table and I've talked to guys who cover the NBA down here and they haven't heard a thing. Kincade and others are just trying to buy time. If they can make it look like there is an interested party they think the NHL will come in and take over the team like they did for Phoenix. This whole thing is predicated on the NHL won't let Atlanta fail.

With so few people in attendance I guess it was less a rally and more of a group therapy session.

Looks like more of a Phoenix rally to me, but this crowd is probably a little too young. ;D

You must be thinking clearly because that scenario would require 2 things that missing...2 very important things.
1 - MH has enough money to purchase an NHL franchise
2- MH actually would put up his own money if he had it
