"Unfortunately, the showing was embarrassing given the stakes at issue. Well short of 100. Not 1,000. Less than 100. Like 25."

All i can say is that it must have sucked a great deal to be one of those 25 people. Those 25 are true fans... unfortunately they need just a little bit more like them

^ No disrespect to the 25 who showed up - they are no doubt true hockey fans. It's the other 5,475,188 people living in the Atlanta area that are indifferent to the Thrashers who are the problem here.

aprox. 25 people... I'm shocked, even for a team in Atlanta. I am genuinely, wholeheartedly embarrassed and saddened for those true fans who showed up to only be met with a glaring emptiness around the room. I actually for the first time feel sorry for those fans on a similar level to us loyal Jets fans. This seriously just needs to end already. 5mil+ and only 25 show up... that's (calculating the numbers) half of a half of a half of a half of 1% of the city's population; or the equivalent of 3.75 people showing up for a "Save The Jets" rally in Winnipeg (or walking into the wrong room on their way to the movies that day). So, in comparison, we had 9,000x as many people-per-capita show up to our rally, or 900,000% more people interested in saving our team (do I have that right?). You might as well say we're literally a million times more interested in hockey here than in Atlanta.

I guess if those 25 people were all willing to pay $1,000,000 each, they could keep the team for one more season like we were able to...

Don't forget; I read an article/blog on here that the arena (unlike Jobbing.com arena) is downtown, and gosh darn it people in Atlanta prefer to stay in the suburbs, as opposed to going downtown!
