This isn't to crazy when you think about it. Lets say a car company wants to advertise with the team, the team would then sell space on their uniforms. This advertising would be seen on tv and by people that see games live.

The Moose already do this with "Toyota" on their jerseys.

Id rather not see our NHL team have advertisements on the jersey like our current Moose do. It looks bush league. TNSE will have enough revenues from the team itself and other projects that they should not have to do this.

^ Get used to it - it's inevitable. They put ads on the boards, the ice, the steps...the jerseys are the next logical step.

Forgot to mention the Moose also have an "Advance" sticker on the sides of their helmets.

I dont even think the NHL allows advertisements on teams jerseys to be honest with you. Do you know of any teams with ads on their jerseys... i dont. The NHL is trying to become a stronger league within the four main sports leagues in North America, so I highly doubt they will make the league look like a joke by starting to put ads on the jerseys and making teams look like skating billboards!

Keep the uniforms free of advertisements. There is plenty of "mind polution" as it is with all the ads around the rink boards. I would never want to see NHL jerseys begin to look like the hideous ones worn by European teams.

^ There's a world of difference between the European freakshow and the relatively non-intrusive ads that you see in the AHL or CFL where it's basically a small patch or two.
I'm not saying it's a good thing, but it will come because owners can only resist the revenue for so long. Having a BMO or Air Canada patch on a Leafs jersey would be marketing gold, and those companies (or others like them) would pay handsomely for it. At some point the NHL owners will give in.

it's tough if I justify it from a business stand point advertisements on jerseys would be a cash cow, on the other hand I think it would look ugly and unprofessional.

Logos on jerseys has never been a staple of north american sports. Think NBA, NFL, MLB and CFL. None of them have these huge contrasting patches on their jerseys. It's more a soccer thing and a euro hockey thing. They got used to it. Americans/Canadians would probobly never get used to it.
Can you imagine if they start butchering the classic jerseys out there? The Habs? Leafs? Wings? All with huge, hideous bank or pizza place logos?!
YUCK!

That is just wrong. They even have advertising on the pants and the goalie equipment.
