Wadell, knows the truth.. He is just trying to mitigate losses by saying everything is okay. Besides, he is not the owner and will have NO say in the matter.

French to English translation
(Los Angeles)Quebec and three other cities that are seeking NHL teams from the National Hockey League (NHL) are on the agenda of the next meeting of the League of Governors on Tuesday in Florida.
Commissioner Gary Bettman will report to the interests of cities in the context of possible expansions or relocations.
According to our information, we are not ready yet to identify which city could replace anyone else. It is rather a general overview of the economic health of the League.
The governors meet only a few times a year, four or five, but each morning receive the "clips" on what's happening in the league and potential markets.
All are so well informed of the March parade, which met in October last several tens of thousands of people in Quebec.
Besides Quebec, Kansas City, Hartford and Winnipeg appear on the short list of possible destinations.
We understand however that this list is subject to change. The president of business operations at the Los Angeles Kings, Luc Robitaille, recalled in an interview with Sun this week that some years ago, it was much talk of Las Vegas.

Couple thoughts?
- One would think the NHL would never thumb their noses at a man like Thomson. But they thumbed their noses at a man like Balsillie. Sure, he thumbed his nose at them first, but it could have been handled differently all the way around.
- Atlanta is very interesting. It could easily become a much more important issue to the NHL than even the Coyotes. The owners dont want it. They own the arena. There is virtually no way to sell the team and keep it in Atlanta. At some point the owners will get tired of the NHL's stonewalling and fold the team or send it to brankruptcy. If the owners announce tomorrow, they are out of the hockey business in Atlanta, that team HAS to move.
If COG will cover losses for 5-7 years, then MH is just a place holder, someone's name to put on the door. Winnipeg can take a team right now. Quebec needs to finalize arena plans and build the thing. Say...5 years or so...before that is open.
