I'm just curious as to whether or not that Quebec City is likely to get a new arena. A question is that IF the plans for the $400 million arena fall through will Quebecor end their quest for a team or will they just settle for a $150 milion arena or something like that? I know one thing that seems to have hurt Quebec City when the Nordiques when they were there was that the mayor at that time couldn't give two sh*ts about whether or not that the team stayed or left, while today's mayor, Regis Labeaume, is very passionate about the return of the Nordiques. And another thing of course was the fact that Aubut demanded too much from the government.
Anyways, are they likely to get a new arena?

What were our chances in 04?!?
Things change so quickly. They have no chance until a deal for the arena is finalized...

Then an ownership group has to step up, then a team has to become available. QC is just starting to run the race and we've been going for years. Not sure when it will be over but we'll finish before them

When Montreal Plays in Long Island, I think over half of the fans are habs fans, yet there are still about 5000 empty seats. Now imagine with the Isles playing Atlanta. It would be funny if there were more Nordiques fans than Isles fans next night. XD
I also heard that some people who couldn't get a place in one of the 23 bus might still make the trip to Long Island this weekend. I REALLY hope they're seen on TV.

The arena needs to happen for sure, but once it does, Quebecor's Pierre-Karl Peladeau apparently is willing and able to run a team... and has already talked to the NHL about it.
