In briefly looking at what games are on TV for the 2010-11 season, I looked at the Coyotes, Panthers, Bluejackets, Predators and Thrashers schedules. A lot of games for those 1st 4 teams are on TV, mostly on Fox. For the Thrashers, however, I think I could watch them more often here in Winnipeg than residents of Atlanta could. There were maybe a dozen games on TV. The station broadcasting among the most Thrashers games was RDS, when they play the Canadiens & Senators. This reinforces to me that the Thrashers are ripe for relocation.

In Atlanta, NASCAR is king...almost no interest in hockey.

I looked at the schedule and my guess is the Thrasher network games are not on the list yet. The Thrashers are on SportsSouth which is a division Fox Sportsnet. (FSN) Not unless SS is not going to televise games but I have a hard time believing that.
Also, to say NASCAR is king in Atlanta is not true. ATL is a city of 5.2M people, most of who are not from Altanta. I doubt NASCAR is even 4th or 5th favorite sport/team. A very large part of ATL is very metropolitan and not sure they follow NASCAR. I would say football is king in GA and not even the Falcons. Most people pull for the college they went to or the pro team near where they grew up.

You're right, subwayscoundrel. The Thrashers now have 66 games that the Atlanta market can watch on TV, including HD.
