Yeah, before it's too late because the team is gone.

Bettman always gives the impression that ALL teams are doing better than they actually are. And he has a LAW degree?

We'll see what happens. Actually. It's ridiculous to say "it won't be Phoenix period" due to the fact we were 15 Minutes from obtaining that Franchise. It should be quite obvious to everyone at this point that True North are the Predators and ANY STRUGGLING NHL FRANCHISE is their Prey. It could be anybody.....

It should be quite obvious to everyone at this point that True North are the Predators and ANY STRUGGLING NHL FRANCHISE is their Pray. It could be anybody..... What I don't understand about the "15 minutes from...", and has always bugged me, was the only way that press conference was actually going to happen was if the COG voted to not support trying to find ways to keep the Coyotes in PHX. We all knew they would vote in favor, how could TN not know what we all knew would happen? Why would they bother? It doesn't take long to set up a podium and a hundred seats (about half an hour). If the vote had gone south (rather north lol) at 11:00 PM CST, a press conference could have easily been set up the very next morning. I don't know if I buy the "15 minutes from...", possibly more posturing? Alex, you know I am huge believer, however that whole press conference prep just didn't add up to me then, and still doesn't today. Why pay staff for something that was about 1%?

Yeah, that whole deal with the called-off press conference seems strange to me too. Everyone seemed to know in advance that the Glendale council would vote for the subsidy. The only question was whether it would be unanimous or 6-1 in favour.
I seem to remember Darren even telling people not to get too worked up if the vote doesn't go our way. Yet, when things went as they were expected to go, it was like the sky was falling and our chances to get a team for next season just went down the drain. I don't get it. Something doesn't add up here.

It doesn't add up in that, before the Glendale vote, Darren told everyone not to worry about the vote, that it was just a formality and that things were still going our way regardless. Then once it went down and news of the called off press conference broke, it became clear how critical this vote actually was. I'm just not sure why Darren seeemed to be downplaying its importance in the days leading up to the vote.

Actually, it wasn't the misspelling of "Prey" that caught my attention as much as the capitalization of the word "Predators". Is that a little hint for us, Jimi?
