Through my limited observation of the Ice Edge Group they seem like a bunch of fairly well off younger guys whose started buisnesses through their fathers. Couldnt do anything on their own in their lives. With that they have these artificial egoes. Sorry but they are irritating.

Havent read anything about the fathers but the rest sounds true. I still laugh at the fact the they expect to make the team profitable after 3 years, the blackhawks are still in red and they just won a cup, have far better attendance, more history etc. It takes a lot to turn an NHL franchise around and those clowns dont have what it takes.

It doesnt look like they have it in them. Again it seems though David Thompson though would only accept sucess.

i grew up with one of the ice edge guys when we were kids he was very cool. i moved away and lost touch with him. but my parents stayed in touch with his parents. a few years ago i tried to chat with him through facebook and e-mails but got no response. his rich uncle helped him get started in calgary and soon he was rich himself. i guess he became too cool, or too rich for his old childhood friends! but karma has a way of working out things in the end! so i expect his group to fail.......

well too stuck up maybe......but he aint too rich. Rich is Mr Thomson and Chipman.

well rich is relative. to me he's rich. he has a huge house, multiple high end cars, etc. i'm sure a few million in the bank. so yes, rich......... but not super rich, or totally not in Thomson's league!

I expect the team Mr. Thompson takes over would have to be sucessful. Dont expect the Winnipeg team to be in the league for years and only get by the first round. He has got the money to take this team somewhere, and we have the passion and thus the support him.
