Hopefully when Asper privatises this team, they sink some serious coin in to video rooms, training facilities and a management team who is serious about signing and retaining good talent. Considering Asper stepped down as CEO of Canwest in March after the company went bankrupt and is valued as a junk bond, I wouldn't put a great deal of faith in him using any of his personal wealth to invest in the team. His plans for the new stadium and buying the team alone rest on a real estate development of the Polo Park area that is not solid and at several years away from completion. Assuming he does act on his option to buy the team, we're still probably looking at 7-10 years before either the new stadium or shopping centre create revenues in the black.

Leonard Asper went belly up.... David Asper runs Creswin Properties... and correct me if I'm wrong... isn't he involved in Wellington West??? Trust me... This organization is a disaster, and needs privatization. Right now, as a community owned club, its objective is to be "fun and affordable for all".... personally, I dont give a Go Jets Go... I'm tired of losing for 20 years... I want to win. Plain and simple.

That was ridiculous, he was able to turn and run a full two strides while not even juggling the ball before the hit. That's full possession in my books.
Unbelievable..

The CFL did admit the blown call. Fat lot of good it does us right now. Hopefully the Lions lose, I think they play Hamilton or Calgary (inb4itsactuallythesoftridersandidontknowit)

When did they admit the blown call? And where?
I also couldn't believe how fast they made the wrong call! But yeah, that was definately possession, not only 2 full strides but he turned his whole body around while taking them!

Questionable at best. I don't think the receiver ever had full possession of the ball before getting hit. If CFL rules are similar to NFL rules on possession, refs probably made the right call.

I was at the game that had to be the worst reffed game I've seen my whole life in any sport. I normally dontl ike to blame the reffs, having reffed 2 different sports I know its not always easy and when its at the pro level its a billion times worst as people began chating bull Go Jets Go at you when they disagree. Reffs will always make a few mistakes and you just have to hope it doesnt have a huge effect on the out come. Sadly the reffs basically gave montreal the W.
The game winning td the reciever was way offside Theres no way in go jets go that wasnt a fumble There were 2 ridiculous pass interference calls for montreal that led to tds.
