I'm fully bilingual as well and although Quebec french is somewhat different then Manitoba french, the way I understand it is that they've completed an offer to purchase the team. I'm not sure if it's been accecpted by current owners (I think they are implying that it has) and it says nothing about being approved by the NHL BOG.
If this is all true, the yotes deal for TN better be in the bag and if not then Garry Bettman just go jets go'd us in the go jets go with a go jets go hockey stick sideways.

I'm gonna go with "Quebecor would love to buy the Thrashers" when this all pans out.
It's so unrealistic, it doesn't even bother me.

That page has now been removed.
It says, basically, that the page contained inappropriate content and was removed by an administrator.
...so I'm thinking someone jumped the gun and posted a completely unverifiable rumour.

Also, the fact that the page referred to the team as the "Trashers" is probably a hint it wasn't legit.

Too bad I was hoping it was true (still might be,where there's smoke...) because it would fit fit with my theory that everything we are watching with the Yotes is just a stage show and the deal is DONE, and OUR team is coming home. Not sure which team is better on paper but I want the JETS back, and that means PHX.

Page is still there ...and from what I read and hear there is plenty happening in Quebec with regard to acquiring an NHL team. However, in this instance the only french any of you need to know is this: "at first I believed you, but now I'm not sure cause you have another source that you can't name who says the flyers are trading simon gagné you have plenty of sources that you can't mention" simply a québecois version of the internet-rumour-spreading-trolls we get here all the time.

I still haven't been able to open the link people have posted, but I finally found the item on the site. It's just a little blurb with no sources and nothing to back it up...and most of the people commenting on it don't believe it either.
It says "La transaction serait déja complété et sera annoncé dans les prochains jours," so, although I seriously doubt it's true, I guess if such an announcement happens, we'll know for sure.
Interesting website, though. I'll have to check it out in the future....if I can get past the French Internet slang in the comments. Good lord. It's just as lame and annoying as its English counterpart. Ugh.

This can't be true. How many times have we heard the jet's were returning. I will wait to see if someone more reputable reports on this first before believing it.

Where there is smoke there is fire. Could the fire in this case be that the Thrashers ARE for sale and a deal is all but complete with a Canadian company looking to relocate the team up here? They just confused which city and company?

Sorry, the source you have here does not indicate anything about the Thrashers going to QC, or at least I can't find anything myself relating to it

Sorry, the source you have here does not indicate anything about the Thrashers going to QC, or at least I can't find anything myself relating to it Their sources said that Gagne was going to be traded. Hours before TSN posted this. Thus, at least one of their sources is reliable.
