Manitoba Threshers. Close but "means more" to Manitobans.
Also a shark and a series of US nuclear subs.

Has to be Jets. Don't like the Moose. If not the Jets call them something after our rich Railway history. Like the Manitoba Machine

It's going to be called whatever the owners want it to be. Embrace it! I'm sure there was thousands of pissed off people when it was announced "The Philadelphia Flyers" The Flyers? What a gooofy name! Now look: I couldn't imagine a hockey team in Philly named anything else.
Side note: Pennsylvania Flyers just sounds stupid!!! lol

If the NHL or whomever owns the rights, won't allow the name to be the Winnipeg Jets, how about the Winnipeg Phantoms (think McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom jet) or singular Winnipeg Phantom.....
btw, the F-4 Phantom was taken out of service....... are you ready?....... in 1996 !

well the CoG should request that they change the name of the phoenix coyotes to the "Arizona Handjobs" for how they have been jerking us around for the past year and a half

I've got one.... how about "Winnipeg Jets"? Or, not as good but still good, "Manitoba Jets".
These seem like the two best options to me!

If this has been discussed already I apologize, but I don't think we can go ahead with Falcons if we get the Thrashers - ATLANTA FALCONS - WINNIPEG FALCONS - this would be kind of lame.

I dont mind the Phantoms.
But anytime they get blown out the headline would read "Phantoms Invisible" or "Phantoms Fail To Show Up"

I'm not convinced TN wouldn't elect to simply keep the Thrashers name, though there is a team with that name already www.winnipegthrashers.com/

If the team comes from Phoenix...Jets all the way. Love the angry Moose logo though.

I will say that overall, giving the people what they want can only work out for the best in the end. You can keep the name Jets but come out with new jerseys and colours!
This has all been discussed in previous posts on this thread!
To get everyones input, I suggest reading all the pages on here, there's a lot of different ways to look at this.
