Not sure if you all heard but this year the bombers are having a no re-entry policy to crack down on people leaving the stadium and drinking at their cars and coming back into the stadium even drunker than before. What do you all think is this a good idea? Something should be done to make things better I mean theres nothing wrong with getting rowdy at a game but sometimes things go way too far. The only problem I see with this is people who just want to get something other than alochol from their car are screwed.

It really didn't affect me before.. as I snuck my rye in with me. I am not so sure this is good or bad. We will see I guess. If they want to cut down on the sneaking in and out... price the beers at a reasonable price and people will purchase and not go the extra distance to sneak it in. I would pay 4 bucks a beer, maybe 5. BUT not 7!

Yeah, I'm not sure either. The people getting way too drunk and starting crap will do it either way. At least this way the Bombers will profit off of it.

^ You know we really didn't do it before when booze was priced cheaper.... when we were underage we did the sneaking, and now we do it again because of the high prices. If they were reasonable no one would (well some would still)

this policy won't really affect me in any sort of way, but I can definitely see it causing some headaches. As I understand it, people will still be able to leave for special cicumstances. Who's to decide what's special circumstances and who's telling the truth? I think it would be easier to just deny re-entry to those who are drunk and obnoxious.
What they should do is just get some better security and cut off the beligerantly drunk when they go back for more. Out of the 30,000 at a game, it's maybe 30 people causing problems. Take care of those 30 and everything's cool.
They could also try winning... I hear that keeps people happy

They have a good point Jiffy. The Bombers lost $1.5 million last year.

And all I was really saying is that Darren's revenue spreadsheet should probably be adjusted to account for the Jets diehards who will be sneaking in mickeys because MTSC beer costs too much.

I don't think anyone is saying that sneaking in booze is the reason the Bombers lost money. But from my perspective, that's part of a cost of going to a pro sports event. Booze prices are inflated in every arena/stadium/field. I'm a grown man and gainfully employed, so sneaking a mickey in my sock seems a little....low-end. But hey, that's just me.

^ I think it really depends how you look at it. Either way, I support my team, and a couple Mickey's here and there isn't gonna do anything. Don't forget, we buy a Go Jets Go load of food at the stadium all the time, more then normal if we were to purchase booze.
